I have been lucky enough to be a part of the tutoring program for over ten years now. I looked forward to going to tutoring as a middle school student mostly so I can meet up with my friends, but more importantly to receive help from college students I looked up to. It was inspiring to be assisted by people that I'd hope to be like in the future. It gave me a great learning environment where I was surrounded by mentors that took the time out of their day as busy college students to make sure we were getting the help we needed. I had the pleasure of coming back as a tutor these past couple years and it has been nothing short of amazing. I get to give back to my community just like I’d always promised. Throughout my time with this program, I have seen great progress and can’t wait to see what the future brings!
